Discontinuing NumXL Student Auto-Renewal
An important update for students: We will no longer automatically renew NumXL licenses purchased through our student-only discount program. As a result, new users taking advantage of our student discount will need to complete their eligibility verification each year before a new coupon is issued
Bear in mind that this does not affect current users. As with all policy changes affecting NumXL, only future businesses will be impacted by this change.
This update to the renewal policy will not come with any other changes to the student discount program. As before, this program offers students annual NumXL licenses at an 80% discount from the listed price. Students must provide proof of active enrollment in a full-time program for a degree at an accredited academic institution to qualify for this discount.
Why this change?
We listened to feedback from our student users and found that most needed NumXL for short-term projects or classwork. Consequently, they had no need to renew after one year and found the auto-renewal feature an annoyance and a possible financial liability.
